Hi,

I'm trying to use File Sharing from a Mac to an iPad. I am using the app FileExplorer.

No connectivity is identified between the two devices on my home network, but when the devices are connected on my workplace's network, and mobile phone's network, the iPad detects the Mac and file-sharing is enabled (on the same devices).

Therefore, I am assuming it is something specific to my home network, rather than the devices I'm using and their settings.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hardware version and firmware version of your W8951ND?
MAC and iPad are both connected to Wi-Fi of W8951ND?
Can you ping IP address of your iPad on your MAC successfully?

Thanks for your reply Tony.

V5 for both hardware and firmware.

Yes, both devices connected to the same network.

No, I can not ping the ipad from the Mac. I get:

ping: sendto: No route to host
ping: sendto: Host is down

Thanks

V5 is not the right firmware version. http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-315.html
What's the iOS version of your iPad and MAC?
Any anti-virus software or firewall running on your MAC? If you disable them, can you ping the iPad successfully?
