Region : Argentina

Model : TL-WPA281

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version :

ISP :

I have recently bought 2 x TP-LINK TL-PA8030P KIT AV1200 (not selectable on the model dropdown) plus others see below.

When I plug any one of my adapters direct into PC and view through the TP-Link utility the network.

I see the A1200s identified giving rate of 144 Mbps and 64 Mbps (I assume the latter is one downstairs and furthest away) and the A500s at 31 Mbps and 45 Mbps.

Now I didn't expect to see 1 Gbps as per my desktop network card but all these seem low?

cheers. a tad broken English isn't it. Have checked and nothing at all stands out on that list as an issue for me. By you directing to that does that mean yes - those rates are slower than expected ?

The powerline rate is very slow accroding to your description. Did you check it via utility?
If it is true, since the powerline rate is mainly decided by the quality of power line environment, you may try to check the rate when they are in the same room.

I connected my TL-PA6010KIT V1 adapters to the same power outlet and ran the utility and find that the connection rate is 337Mb/s. Note that the two adapters must be connected into a network for the speed to register in the utility.

I then ran my bandwidth tester, Tamosoft Throughput Test ( http://www.tamos.com/products/throughput-test/) and am getting around 300Mb/s. Check yours please.

Thanks

I've just checked the utility and things have changed (for the better) my two A500 are giving 183 and 185 Mbps and one of my A1200 is giving 459 Mbps. The other which is the Local just says N/A. So that seems more like it.

All I've changed is the 3 ADSL filters in the house to a better standard and got a more robust high speed adsl modem cable connecting phone line to router. That must have done it.

I have downloaded the tamosoft but being a bit thick have no idea what IP I'm supposed to put in. Tried the pc one and the mycloud but it shows up nothing ???

TTT comes as 2 items- a client & a server. Run the server and note the IP address of the computer where you run the server. Now move to your test computer on the other end of the Powerline network, install TTT and run the client. In the client, put in the server's IP and they should start talking to each other.
