Region : Malaysia

Model : TL-WR841ND

Hardware Version : V9

Firmware Version : 9

ISP : Unifi

I go this modem with the default firmware where it allows you to select the working mode just like below FAQ

http://www.tp-link.com/lk/faq-704.html

Everything goes well, and everything is keyed in. At the status page after setup is complete, a bunch of numbers appear under WAN just like what the FAQ meaning the router is configured correctly just like the FAQ describe but for some weird reason, I cant browse the internet. Not just one device but multiple devices

So going through step by step of the FAQ, i finally reach the point of upgrading firmware. I downloaded and upgraded the latest firmware for V9 of the WR841ND. Build 150310

http://www.tp-link.com/lk/download/TL-WR841ND_V9.html#Firmware

Now it is even worse, the normal screen of selecting the working mode is gone. So i select PPOE, key in username and password. Now it wont connect at all. Just zeroes appearing at the WAN status page and the status connecting just appearing there.

Is there something i did wrong? Can i downgrade the firmware to the original preset firmware where I am able to select the working mode

The firmware now stands at build 141013, the most basic firmware I can find on TpLink website for V9

Thanks a lot for any assistance

UPDATE:

Managed to reverse the firmware by downloading an older version and it has not connected with a bunch of numbers coming up on the WAN status page like it is suppose to. However still not getting internet. Send packets are increasing but receiving packets are sitting at nil. Tried the following

1) Copy and clone MAC address just in case the modem MAC is locked onto the old router
2) Change DNS primary and secondary servers
3) Power cycle the modem and router
4) Manual setup

Upgrade the firmware 140528 and follow the FAQ 704 to reconfigure it.
