Hello.

I'm not sure what the model number is, since Google didn't yield any useful results and I can't seem to find the box, so if a mod could correct it, it'd be much appreciated.

I've used a TP-Link Archer T2U A600 for a while now with my 5GHz connection on Windows 7 Professional. I upgraded to Windows 10 today, and now only the 2.4GHz connection is showing up. This is quite a problem, since the speed difference is huge and the 2.4GHz band is almost always under heavy load. Is this a configuration issue on my end, or do I need to wait for Windows 10 drivers to come out? I'd assumed there'd already be drivers, since the tech preview has been out for some time. The rest of the devices connected to the 5GHz band (phones, consoles, laptop (Windows 7)) are having no issues, and the router settings are fine, so I'm just looking for clarification on the problem.

If the issue is the lack of Windows 10 drivers, how long will the wait be (if anyone knows it)? I may end up having to go back to Windows 7 until the drivers release.

Thank you.

I contacted TP-LINK support team on this issue and they said "they are pushing chip manufacturers to provide drivers for Windows 10 as soon as possible"...

I emailed them this morning, but I've not received a reply yet. If/when I do, if any relevant information is given, I'll post it here.

Hi guys,
You can download the latest driver for Windows 8.1 and update it. It will solve the problem that you can detect 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only.

This was one of the first things I tried, and it didn't work.

Mine ended up working after installing the TP-Link utility, instead of installing the driver directly.

i ended up looking up the driver manufacturer, Media Tek Inc, going t their site and downloading a driver from there (the one that says USB, not PCI) and that fixed it for me!

Bump!

Tried the media tech driver, the win8, and the windows 8.1 and just for fun the windows XP.

None of the suggestions have worked out, where the hell are the official drivers, where do I apply for a refund?
