Hello, Recently I purchased WDF4300 router. I noticed that the DNS servers IPs can be configutedon both WAN and DHCPSetting Pages.My questions is why it is so? Or what benefits does it give?Thanks.

What's the WAN connection type? Actually, we don't have to manually input DNS server in most cases.
Any problem with your internet connection?

Thanks for the reply, Vivian. I have Dynamic IP connection and it works fine. I just wondered whether I can set the DNS config, on the DHCP setting page, to a local DNS server, in ordef to resolve to some devices with crypty names on my network and give them friendly names. At the same time to have the automatically suppliedDNS servers, on the WAN settings page resolved externalhost names. Thanks, meir.
