Hi.

TD-W8980 Firmware Version: 0.6.0 1.8 v000e.0 Build 150514 Rel.40138n

I also have a Netgear range extender.

For some reason I don't understand my router has a very bad wi-fi signal. It is so bad that it doe not pickup the range extender which is 5m away with only one brick wall seperating them. With direct, line of sight I get 80% signal strength over 4m. How can this possibly be?

I will appreciate it if someone can help me to check what I can do?

Thank you very much.

Try to change a wireless channel like 1, 6 or 11 on web interface of W8980 and try to detect Wi-Fi networks on the range extender again.
