ADSL only flashing Archer D5 router

I've just purchased a wireless router Archer D5 and connected the wires correctly however the ADSL light keeps flashing. My internet connection is working as another has been plugged in and is working fine. Have checked my user name and password with my internet provider and both correct. Tried calling the help line but can't get through. Please help thanks
