TL-WR710N v2 chromecast connectivity issue

I have set up my TL-WR710N v2 as an AP and it works really well however I have found out that it is not compatible with chromecast. There is a firmware fix fro v1 of the device however nothing as yet for v2. Having spoken to support via chat I have been informed it may be sorted but isn't at the minute. I am awaiting their response. In the mean time, anyone got any ideas?
