TP-Link Archer C6 routers frequently freeze or stop responding
I am writing to request technical assistance regarding a serious issue with multiple TP-Link Archer C6 routers deployed in our company network.
We are currently using 22 TP-Link Archer C6 routers across different locations within our organization — some connected to the internet and some operating for local area connectivity only. Unfortunately, all 20+ units are exhibiting the same problem:
-
The routers frequently freeze or stop responding.
-
Both Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity fail.
-
The devices only recover after a manual power restart.
I have already ensured the following steps:
-
All routers are running on the latest available firmware versions.
-
Power and network environments have been tested and verified — no electrical or network fault exists.
-
The issue appears to be firmware or hardware related, affecting all Archer C6 units in our setup.
This situation is causing significant disruption, especially since most of the routers are mounted in high and hard-to-reach locations, making manual restarts difficult.
Being an IT professional with extensive experience, I have thoroughly diagnosed the problem and am confident it is a manufacturing or firmware defect common to the model.
Kindly assist in resolving this issue as soon as possible. Please advise if there is any permanent firmware fix, replacement program, or known hardware recall for the Archer C6 series facing this issue.
Best regards,
Kashif Nazir
