I am looking at purchasing an AV500 Powerline, my question is will it work on the same consumer unit but different circuit?

I have a ring main for upstairs and a ring main for downstairs, my router is upstairs but the wifi will not reach downstairs so need to install something to boost the signal.

Will the AV500 work?
