My TL-PA4010 - 500Mbps AV500 Nano adapter has this firmware version:
500A-1.1.0.871-04_401011_150416


I went to the TP-Link US web site and downloaded the currently available firmware for this adapter, which is this file:
TL-PA4010KIT_V1_130821.zip


In this zip file, there are the following two files:
MAC-QCA7420-v1.0.0-01-X-FINAL.nvm
QCA7420_v1.0.0-01_20130821_CE_ClassB_3s.pib


I tried to upgrade my adapter's firmware to these two files. But I got an error message saying "Upgrade failed."


Can someone give me some clues what happened behind the scene?
