Wired Backhaul on RE900XD.for easymesh
Hi All,
I have a bit of a unique situation, I tried using the Easymesh Wired back haul, however my back haul is not 100% wired, i am actually using a Ubiquiti Wireless Bridge to get connectivity between 2 buildings on an acreage property, the bridge uses a wired connection from my router to the main wireless bridge device, then the remote buidling has another bridge device which outputs a wired connection that i connect to a switch and then from the switch to the RE900XD.
Now the easymesh registers and seems to work, however, everydevice i connect to the Mesh AP, thinks there is a security issue and will not connect to any internet page. It seems to think there is a man in the middle attack, I assume because the ubiquiti devices each have an IP on the same subnet and the traffic has to go through each to reach the AP.
If i put the RE900XD into AP mode, everything works just fine, but now it is not part of the mesh and moving around the site can have issues with switching between AP's on the mesh.
Is it possible to make this setup work with the mesh somehow? I am also looking to add a third building into my network using another spare ubiquiti receiver i have spare, and looking ot buy another RE900XD as the Mesh/AP for this other building, so it would be really cool if there was a way to sort this so the mesh works across the whole site.
Also noting i got the ubiquiti outdoor wifi bridge devices free, is there a TP link alternative that would work with the mesh, I'd rather not spend extra cash if i can avoid it, but if a TP-Link integrated solution woudl solve it, i would be open to the idea?
Any ideas?
Thanks.
