Model :

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version :

ISP :

Recently bought an C20 AC750, badly needed the bandwidth control and it delivered. Problem is.. I've noticed that when I try to play online things like Heroes of Newerth, DotA, or Helldivers.
My ping is <100ms. But at random times, I get disconnected for about 1-2 seconds.

I'm using my laptop, connection is wireless. I googled a bit and the problem could be that the issue is the network drops and reconnects itself.
I've already tried updating the firmware of the router, my laptop's drivers are up to date. I have tried disabling the bandwidth control, as well as not using the auto for the 2.4GHz or the 5GHz tried different channels and stuff. Still having drops. Tried switching to either 2.4 or 5GHz and still the same problem. Not sure what the problem is at this point, browsing is smooth. Probably because if there were connection drops you wouldn't notice it much unless you played online games.

Any help would be appreciated

Found a fix

Just found a solution, its not the C20's fault

if you're using windows 8.1, apparently the drivers are a little wonky. Here's a link: http://www.gabze.com/fix-wifi-disconnects-frequently-windows-8/

s
o apparently, the wifi "drops" are actually the laptop's doing in an attempt to "save" battery. I just disabled that and everything went smoothly.

What bothers me now though is that I've had this laptop for a year and I never had a problem with the wifi and with my old router
this issue only came up when I used the C20. Weird.

But anyway, I hope this helps!

Hi guys 0.9.1 2.1 v0044.0 Build 151120 Rel.35051n

Try the latest Firmware, you guys are using the one just before..
Dont forget things with updating: use INTERNET EXPLORER, i tried on google chrome and it didnt work, not install fail but when i looked at the firmware version , it didnt change.
Unplug the WAN from router.
Last thing, do a factory reset after the successful firmware update
