Model :

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version :

ISP :

We have a BT Homehub 5 type B which is working fine, wired and wireless. We have 2 sets of TPLink AV1200 which were working at an acceptable performance level although not to the spec's in the litrature for transfer rates. Over the last week, the BT Router has slowed dramatically and Internet Ping responses with the Powerline connected have gone from 18mS to 2500mS, Internet transfer speeds have dropped from in excess of 11Mb to less than 1Mb.

Rebooting the BT Router makes no difference, however either switching off the powerline plug UTP wired to the BT Router or just unplugging the UTP cable from the BT Router restores the Internet performance back to normal and the Ping response back to sub 30mS responses.

Just having two Laptops connected through the Powerline plugs with/without the BT Router gives 2mS ping responses and reasonable transfer speeds.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Suffering poor payload throughput on good linespeed? Try the update from the global website - it helped mine rather drastically: http://www.tplink.com/be/support/download/?model=TL-PA8030P+KIT&version=V1
