I use the powerline system for connecting the router with the TV set, because the distance between these devices is too long for a good WIFI connection.
Normally the function an the quality of the reception is ok, but several times per day there are interruptions lasting 3-4 seconds before there is a new connestion. If I connect the devices by LAN cable there are not such problems.
