Hello everyone.
I spent 2 days setting up this AP without success. Every time after the setup was complete I had no internet when I connected to the TL-WA901ND. In the end I was desperate and decided to downgrade the firmware convinced that the latest firmware has its own huge bugs that seriously affect the operation of this device.
Fortunately, that did not happen, and reason prevailed in the end and as they say, hope dies last.
Reviewing all the settings on both this device and the existing network, I noticed that for increased network security I had set wpa2+wpa3 encryption settings on it (this is the network I am forcing the TL-WA901ND to connect to). I changed them to wpa+wpa2 and everything worked as it should.
Now, the question for this post is, isn't it automatically if you have wpa+wpa2 connection security, the router should automatically choose the stronger connection security encryption? By some logic, if you have wpa2+wpa3 encryption available, and on the other hand wpa+wpa2 encryption is set, shouldn't wpa2 encryption be chosen because it exists in both settings?
Or is that not the case, just me as a mechanical engineer thinking differently? :)
I'm wondering if it's possible to reach out to the TP-LINK engineering team and request an upgrade to the existing firmware with support for wpa3 connection encryption?

Regards,
