4G stopped working on Archer MR200

After a couple of months of very satisfactory performance from an EE SIM card, my Archer MR200 router no longer shows the illuminated 4G icon, and the slower speeds are consistent with 3G. I complained to EE but they confirmed that their mast is operating normally. I have re-validated the APN settings but cannot find the problem. Any ideas what might have changed?
