Hi

I am trying to set up my father-in-laws wifi extender, but for the life of me can't set it up. I have set one up at home and it works fine.

I am using a WA730RE, and the wifi router is a Tenda.

I have tried to follow the instructions

In partiuclar this as the extender has DHCP automatically disabled

http://www.tp-link.in/faq-14.html#MAC

I follow the instructions, plug in the extender to my mac via ethernet cable, and in the browser type http://192.168.0.254/ but I get no where

Do you know where I am going wrong?

Hope you can help!!!!

by default, the ip address of 750RE is 192.168.0.1, if you set your computer's ip address to be 192.168.1.10, you may not able to access 750RE, you could try 192.168.0.10. However, the suggested way to configure is to configure the computer's IPv4 to be automatically (DHCP or BOOTP), by default, 750RE will assign a correct ip address to your computer for configuration
