Hi. I have a TL-WE940N US with Firmware 3.16.9 Build 160617 Rel.58968n.
But when i put the wan cable, the router dont detect the conection.
I know the problem is not the modem because then i connect the pc to the modem i can use the internet.
Im using a pppoe conection.
When i connect the pc to the modem, the pc has conection and i can do the pppoe link.
When i connect the router (wan) to the modem the router dont turn on the conection yellow led, and if i trie to use pppoe it says "

The router has other ip 192.168.2.1
And has statistics disable.

try a different cable and other ports on your modem, if possible.
You can troubleshooting like this way, connect wan port of it to another computer and if it still says wan port unplugged, which means this router wan port is broken.
