@plusmore I would just like to add that I have the exact same problem but with VR900 - older firmware works fine, newest/beta firmware not working/connecting - cannot establish pppoe connection. Help...

@Kathy_Z I have exactly the same problem as OP on this post. My ISP is talktalk. I can connect fine with firmware Archer VR900(EU)_V3_200228; but I cannot establish pppoe conneciton with firmware...
