is there a tp-link router that's compatible with the wdr4300?

Yes I've entered the DNS in the main router I've just done a factory reset and tried to connect again. Still no luck with it. Do you know if WDS is possible with WDR4300? Could it be a firmware...

Unfortunately that didn't work. I don't get put on the 192.168.1.xxx network. I am only assigned a private network of 169.254.xxx.xxx. I have to assign myself an IP address before I can connect back...

I removed the password on purpose when taking the screenshot. You can see that the WDS status is "RUN", so it is connecting. But it doesn't put you on the same network so you can get internet..
