It seems that TP-LINK cannot be compatible with 4G modem in Italy now, no such model on the list http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/3g-comp-list/?model=TL-MR3420&location=1152

I think TP-LINK will not provide the command list, maybe we can refer to the general GSM AT command.

I think TP-LINK router cannot support Wimax modems mow, only LTE supported on the website.

how about changing another modem to validate? maybe you can contact your ISP to confirm.
