As far as I know , the channel of the extender follows your router, so suggest you change the channel on the router. The channel on the extender cannot changed

nothing to do with the Krack attack. Unstable connection on the router. Suggest to check the firmware and hardware, update to the latest firmware. Test when only one device connect to the router...
