required a restart of the router? was it like freeze or something? try reduce number of clients, a factory reset. if the router needs to restart frequently, contact tplink, support@tp-link.com

There are more sub menus under System Tools tab, not just Time Settings. You may need to scroll down the left-side menu and find Firmware Upgrade
