Anyway, I fixed my issue. This was a problem associated with the QCA6174 chipset firmware with the latest Linux kernels in my laptop. So, had to upgrade the firmware on my laptop....

@Jobie I fixed my issue by updating the firmware on my laptop. Just check whether your laptop uses QCA6174 wifi chipset. This chipset was causing enough issues at least on Linux side....
