Even the 802.11a mixed i cant still see it

I tried searching about my broadcom 802.11n it says its 2.4and 5ghz compatible even my smartphone is dual band and 5ghz compatible i stil cant see it my friend gave it to me he use 2.4ghz only so...

hello guys i have issue in my laptop i cant see my 5ghz wifi i search my hardware the broadcom 802.11n and search the N type can connect to 5ghz even i switch my wifi to 5ghz N type only but no luck...
