I was trying to install the bulb in the lamp and stupidly over tightened it, causing the bulb base to come off. does anyone know how to repair it? Any help most appreciated thanks

Hi i was trying to install my bulb into a lamp and stupidly over screwed it. The metal base has come loose off the bulb - anyone know how to fix it? thanks
