Model: Archer T6E
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Can I replace the antenna with the better one on PCIE adapter like Archer T6E adapter for example, and can it improve the wifi signal reception? Maybe like using TL-ANT2409CL 9dbi antenna on the adapter.

@hendiro

The Archer T6E supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz both, while this antenna supports 2.4GHz only. Meanwhile this antenna usually works with the router, access point. Not the network adapter.

@hendiro

Sorry to tell you that there is no such product available in TP-Link.

Besides, we do not suggest to change the antenna; cause it is a mutual interaction; except the capability of the network adapter, the performance of the main router is important.

Wish you Merry Christmas.

@Kevin_Z

I have tried replacing the adapter antenna with my spare router's antenna and it's working fine. So actually both network adapter and router use same antenna connector type. So If the antenna is lost or broken, rather throwing the adapter, I can get the replacement antenna from other brand.

Okay, I see, it is glad to hear that you can use the spare router's antenna on this adapter.

And you can try to replace the indoor antenna which shares the same connector type withe the adapter.
