DHCP server (TL-R605) not working anymore
Yesterday all of a sudden my DHCP server decided to stop working. I am running
Omada 4.2.8
and the following devices:
1x EAP225-Outdoor(EU) v1.0
2x EAP245(EU) v3.
1x TL-SG2210P v3.20
1x TL-R605 v1.0
All devices are running the latest version.
I have rebooted everything several times, reinstalled Omada, but no luck. I have tried searching for relevant logs, but apparently Omada does not have such logs? Wher are those? The only thing I have not tried is to hard reset the TL-R605. But doing a hard reset also flushes all possible logs on it.
The workaround I have created is building a separate DHCP server to serve my clients. But this DHCP server is very limited and thus making my other VLANS useless. Actually it is making a lot of the features of Omada useless.
How can we retrieve the DHCP logs for troubleshooting? Or how can I restore functionality?

I upgraded to new firmware yesterday and no errors so far, the new firmware seems to use much less memory and cpu and that is positvt.

New firmware? Where did you get it? I have found only TL-R605(UN)_V1_20200930 - first initial firmware.

This is a beta firmware but I have less problem with this update than before. get it from support.forum@tp-link.com
But less memory and cpu vas only temporary, I have to restart router on time every week to empty memory and cpu load.
I create a restart sqeduler to do that.

+1 for the issue.
My DHCP server on TL-R605 also stopped working and hard-resetting didn't help.
Considering Omada do a little with DHCP and DNS management, I quickly managed to set both with dnsmasq, which is quite easy to set and much more powerful for fine tuning.

So this fixed your DHCP problem? Do you have devices with assigned IP addresses? This seems to cause the problems as well. I would really prefer to not bring my whole network down again if it doesn't work. Also are you using an OC200 (4.2.8) or software controller (4.2.11)?

Thanks for the beta firmware link :)
I discovered the same strange DHCP issue. It made me crazy....
The new beta firmware solved the problem.
It also solved an issue with very frequent messages of 'Large Ping detects' and 'Ping of Death attacks' They're gone now.
In periods of a few days i have to reboot the TL-R605 because Internet speed becomes very low.
Hopefully new official firmware is comming soon.
Best regards,
Alex
