Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 5.0.8

Hello community we have 4 EAP 225, 3 EAP 620HD, and 3 EAP 660HD

We are aware that each EAP will broadcast the SSID configured on the Omada controller, how can we sync those SSID as one cause right now there is too much broadcast of SSID like those EAP that are near to each other we noticed that there is too much SSID that might confuse the users where to connect

For reference here is a screenshot of AP1-AP2 SSID signals that are received and visible to phone connection how can we resolve this issue

  @Jimsx03

Hey

I am guessing these APs are not managed by a controller?   Something like an OC200 for example?

If not then they will not be able to work as "one network", instead they will operate as separate devices.   To have all the APs broadcasting under one SSID you need to use a controller.

Once a controller is in place, the APs will be centrally managed as one network by the controller and therefore it should clear down the number of SSIDs to a managable level.  You will also get the ability to use fast roaming / AI Roaming etc which currently will not be available to you.

Hello

Thank you sir but unfortunately, we managed those EAP via the host-based Controller

How can we solve this kind of issue our controller is up to the latest update

  @Jimsx03

Try to disable 6Ghz on SSID settings. EAP225 only support 2.4G/5G. The 5Ghz only SSID may comes from the EAP6xx.

Also try to disable Mesh function on Settings->Site page

  @Jimsx03 Could you clarify why you have so many SSIDs?  Are you creating an SSID for each AP?  Are you creating SSIDs for specific costumers?  Are you creating SSIDs for network segmentation?  Or for some other reason?  This will help people give you the best advice for dealing with the issue, since your posting and the screen shot does not tell us why you have the SSIDs and why each AP has them active.

  @Jimsx03

Could you give us more info on what device or app is showing those APs for you and how you have setup the SSIDs?

From experience in 95% of apps this should appear as one SSID, the fact its broken up either indicates a SSID config on the controller, or the app is one of the older ones that doesnt understand multiple APs.  Generally older TVs and Printers are known so show ALL APs rather than the ssid as one.

Any screenshots you can post of the controller SSID setup and desribe how you are seeing this would help us.
