Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Been a while since I was messing with DHCP since the reservations weren't holding. Upgraded today to the latest beta.

Having a brain glitch. Totally silly queston. I already have roughly 30 IPs reserved for my devices and am trying to get them all back where they belong. But I have about 20 other devices that are dynamically assigned, so I'm tripping over a few.

When I define the DHCP range, and I start, say, at 192.168.0.100 to free up the other dynamically assigned devices, my reserved addresses <.100 should all still hold, correct? Meaning, when I define the range, I can still use addresses outside the range, they just wont be dynamically assigned by the DHCP Server?

Hello @CoKro

Did you upgrade to the ER605(UN)_V1_1.2.3 Build 20230224 (Beta)?

ER605 V1 1.2.0 firmware (adapted to Omada Controller 5.0.30) has added support for reserving IP addresses outside the DHCP Range. So I believe that you can configure reserved address outside the DHCP range if you use 1.2.0 or later firmware.

Hello @CoKro

Please reconnect a client device to check whether it can get the reserved IP address as expected. You can reconnect on the client device, or go to Clients for Reconnect. Thanks!

  @Fae

Thanks for the help. Can confirm that its working as expected. I started my range at x.x.x.100, with all of my reserved addresses between x.x.x.10 and x.x.x.99.

Non-reserved devices are picking up IP addresses x.x.x.107 and x.x.x.113.
