I have an old extender TL WA750RE that was previously used on an old network. Is it at all usuable? I'd like to get Wi-Fi signal upstairs as a temp measure whilst staying at a relative's. The extender only shows the old network and pushing the reset button underneath does nothing.

Hi,

Are you in possession of the password that is needed to log into the configuration webpage of your TL-WA750RE?

If you have the password, then you don't need to reset the extender. Just log in and configure it to connect to your relative's wireless router.

By the way, the factory defaults are Username "admin" and Password "admin".

In case the default password was changed before and you don't have the current password and the RESET button doesn't work either (have you tried pressing it somewhat longer, like 5 seconds or so?), then you can still try to connect the extender via the WPS method.
