router to use as an Access point - True gigabit fiber
Looking for a router that I can use as an access point in my apartment using True gigabit fiber.
we have Ethernet coming to the room and the current Humax router has a hardware switch to act as an access point. doesn't work well and totally unsupported. AC Wifi, last firmware 2018.
If we move, a router might be better, would rather not buy a dedicated access point. do not need highest-end router, just something that is supported and works well. Wifi 6 might be nice.

Almost any TP-Link router could work in AP mode if you don't want to buy a dedicated AP.
If you need a Wi-Fi 6 capable AP then for example Archer AX53 in AP mode would do the job.
You just have to turn off your Humax router wireless radio and use the AX53 wireless radio.
