Model: Archer AXE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.9 Build 20231115 rel.37295 EU version

WiFi router:  Archer AXE75(EU) v1.0 AXE5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Router

Hi,

I've updated the above mentioned router to the latest firmware version. See the header of the system log:
####################################################################
#                 Archer AXE75 System Log
# Time = 2023-12-15 15:44:49
# H-Ver = 1.0.0 ; S-Ver = 1.1.9 Build 20231115 rel.37295
# LAN: I = 192.168.1.1 ; M = 255.255.255.0 ; MAC = 78:8C:B5:82:6E:38
# WAN: W = dhcp ; I = 192.168.0.189 ; M = 255.255.255.0 ; MAC = 78:8C:B5:82:6E:39
#      G = 192.168.0.1 ; D1 = ------.131.1 ; D2 = ------.130.1
# Clients connected: 3 ; WI-FI : 2
####################################################################

Download site: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-axe75/#Firmware

The update file (axe75v1-axe5400-up-ver1-1-9-P1[20231115-rel37295]_nosign_2023-11-15_15.46.25.bin) was first downloaded on the local HDD and then installed via the router's dashboard (Advanced > System > Firmware Update > Local Update).  All went well as can be seen from the System Log header.

However, upon login into the router's dashboard there is the message to update the latest firmware version to the same latest version of the firmware?!; see image below.  So, what could be the reason for this?  And how to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

  @Sunshine

Yes, the message appeared before I did the manual update.

That is clearly a bug in the firmware.

Is there any way to report that?

Because I believe that bug should taken care of in the firmware asap.

Thanks

PS: After doing the update again, but then online, the update request message disappeared and all is ok now.  But, anyhow, that bug should be taken care of in the firmware.

Hi, the message was received before you updated the firmware manually, right?

If that is true, it will not disappear if you update the firmware locally, please ignore it directly, or try resetting the router to factory defaults.

Remember to back up your router settings before performing a factory reset, as it will erase all configurations. Additionally, ensure that you have the correct firmware version for your router model. If TP-Link support has released any hotfixes or patches, they might provide you with updated guidance on resolving the discrepancy.

Hi,

I have the EU version, and downloaded the latest EU version firmware from the link in post #1

I've had the same problem before - a month ago or so - but after running an Online Update the update request was gone.

Currently, however, the  Online Update server seems to be not reachable or offline says the error message when trying to perform an Online Update.

Anyhow, I had a look in the system log and there is no mentioning of any download link from where the router tried to download the online update firmware.

Question:

In normal curcimstances when all goes well, does the firmware download link appear in the system log?

If not, how can I find out what server the router is contacting for its update?

Thanks
