I changed routers and connecter my TP Link extender and it requires a password. My iPad requires an 8 digit password and the default password is "admin" only 4 letters. Any idea how to login?

If the TP-Link extender is a model that still uses the default password "admin", then this extender must be a rather old.
Are you seeing a login page that has two entry fields, one for "Username" and another for "Password"?
What is the actual model number of your TP-Link extender?
