"Force"-function for DHCP options
Hello everyone,
We have an ACS in the network for our customer routers. These are assigned an IP address via DHCP using a VLAN and are then supplied with option 43 and the ACS URL.
We would like to set up this system per area to avoid the large VLAN. We have therefore decided in favour of Omada as a DHCP server and firewall.
Unfortunately, there is a problem. The routers expect option 43 in the DHCPOFFER. However, without a request to the server. Option 43 simply has to be sent along. With Mikrotik, for example, this option is called "force".
Is this possible with the Omada routers? Or can option 43 be "forced" on the client in another way (with another option?)?
This is a feature that many providers have to use. If it is not possible, it should definitely be implemented in the next update. Providers can then operate an ACS DHCP server, which is inexpensive and can be managed centrally.
Thank you in advance for your answers.
Best regards.
