I have a chinese router which is working fine it self but sometime the plug start to be heating from normal to bit high and I need to unplug it and give 30-40 seconds to get it normal. Privously my internet provider changed the plug and the new one worked fine for quite a time now the 2nd one is also getting heated. What could be the reason please if someone can help me. Thanks

Hi,

Could you please provide more details what exactly you mean by "plug"? Do you mean the AC/DC adapter of the router?

What is the exact name or model number of the router?

Have you checked that the current rating of the AC/DC adapter is sufficient for the router model you have?

You can read the power requirements of the router on its backside. (like where it says "12V⎓2A" in this example https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/806964)

Likewise there should be a rating printed on the AC/DC adapter.
