Dear all,

I am struggling with my config below.

I want all connected items on the R5 router in AP, to be in the range 192.168.86.200-254 but some are in the main one.

Do you see an error in my settings ?

thanks a lot

NB: same issue on my second router AX55 in AP mode too.

To recap:

-Router 192.168.86.1 - DHCP on - range 192.168.86.2-199

Gateway: 192.168.86.1
DNS1: 192.168.86.1
DNS2: 192.168.86.1

-Router Tplink 192.168.86.20 - AP mode - DHCP on - range 192.168.86.200-254

Gateway: 192.168.86.1
DNS1: 192.168.86.20
DNS2: 192.168.86.1

Hi,

That is what happens when there are two DHCP servers within the same network.

When a new client device that is configured to obtain IP addesses automatically connects to the network, then it sends out a DHCP request into the network. Then all the DCHP servers in that network will reply to that client. The client will then act on the first response it receives, from whichever DHCP server that may be.

Therefore there should only be one active DHCP server per network.
