Advice for purchasing router to connect to home office 13m away from the router.
Hi everyone,
I am based in the UK and I am a Virgin customer with the 1GB connection. I currently am using an Orbi 6 Mesh Network and the performance has been incredibly unstable for some time. Virgin engineers have been in and checked the connections, I have been given a new router but if anything the stability is getting worse.
I am looking at purchasing the Archer BE800 and I was looking for options of a hardwired range extender, but it needs a couple of ethernet connections as I run a small server in my office.
There are a couple of things to note. I have a connected house using Googel infrastructure. Essentially I have around 50 devices including indivial wifi lights, radiator valves, smart screen, TVs consoles and PCs etc.
Will the router be able to handle of all this? With the Orbi I had a seperate 2.4Ghz network for IOT devices.
On the range extender front, is it worth also purchasing another TP-Link router which will act as a Wifi 7 extender?
Appreciate that is a lot of information, any suggestions as to a TP-Link combo would be really appreciated.
