Model: Archer C2300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I have a Archer C2300 V1 on current firmware.   I have noticed eratic network performance.   If I reboot the router things are good for a bit, but quickly disolve to terrible.

I have over 80 wireless devices on this router.  Some are cameras, some are power switches, and lots of ipads, iphones, etc.

I googled how many devices can be connected to it, I get:   The TP-Link Archer C2300 router can handle a decent number of devices simultaneously, with the manufacturer recommending support for up to 30 devices.

How seriously should I take this limit?   Is it time for me to get a new wifi router?

With that much of wireless devices in your household, you should seriously consider getting a new wireless router - at leat an AX series device.

Hello @dlongnecker ,

Welcome to our community.

As Terziyski said, if you have over 80 devices, a WiFi 6 AX series router would be a better choice.

You can select a router here, and find the suitable router for you.

If you have many IoT clients, we recommend connecting them to the IoT network or a dedicated 2.4GHz network of the router.

Best Regards.
