  @Vincent-TP

I have a question on data counters.  On the Port Settings page, there is a TX SUM and a RX SUM column.  One of my switch ports is connected to my ISP's IPTV decoder and has a high data count due to streaming.  The large data count however appears in the TX SUM column instead of the RX SUM column.  Question... "Is the counter showing the data transmitted out the port or is it showing the data transmitted upstream?"

The reason for the question is that the trunk port (on the same switch) is showing the high count in the RX SUM column which is expected.  One would also expect the access port count to reflect what is received.  Perhaps my thinking is wrong.  Please clarify.

Hi  @OMADA-tunisia

Thanks for the feedback.

Did you enable EAP LLDP (Network Config > General Settings > Site Settings)?

To better understand the situation, please share a screenshot of your controller's Device page, which will help us identify the specific hardware and firmware versions of the SDN devices you are using.

What types of devices are these 500 clients are?

Hi  @OMADA-tunisia

Thank you for your response. So, you’re saying that after disabling LLDP, all devices are now displayed correctly? That does seem unusual.

Could you please share a screenshot of your current profile configuration? This will help us better understand the issue and provide more accurate troubleshooting.

If possible, could you revert one idle device back to the previous profile to check if the issue reappears?

If it does, please also provide a screenshot of the corresponding profile configuration.

All devices are running the latest firmware.

After testing, I deleted all switch profiles except the default one — only the “All” and “Disable” and “default”  profiles remain.

I also disabled LLDP on the default profile. Now, the topology seems to be working correctly.

and,

the “Upload Rate” doesn’t show any data.

>>>Currently, the switch’s client list does not support displaying this data. We will add this feature in future updates. Thank you for your feedback.

Hi  @jra11500

Thanks for asking:

The TX SUM and RX SUM values on the port are reported by the device side. TX SUM represents the data transmitted outward from the port and is not counted based on the concept of uplink/downlink. The traffic flows from the switch to the IPTV device, so it is reasonable for the port connected to the IPTV to show a high TX SUM.
