Hi

I have an existing Network with a X50 as the main router  and a M5 as a satellite.

I have a spare X58 4G that I want to add to the existing Deco network.

I tried resetting the X58 but just goes to red light.

I added a Sim card to the X58 and it boots to Green status.

I can then use the Deco app to create a new network for it.

And it sees the internet.

Questions.

Is there a way to get the X58 to join the existing X50 network.

I could use the X58 as the main router but then I would need to set up all my devices for the new network name and password.

I tried resetting the X58 to go to blinking blue mode to add device to the existing network, but it just goes to Red status as it expects a SIM card.

Thanks

Brian

 Ok I got it working.

I added the X58-4g by connecting the X58 by cable to the main router.

Then powered on the X58, push the reset button on the bottom of the x58.

It flashed yellow then flashed blue ready to be setup.

Without the cable plugged in it would go to RED light.

Now I could detect and add the x58-4g with the Deco app on the iPad to the existing deco mesh network.

Once added to the network, I could then remove the cable and away you go.

Still testing how reliable it is.

Not certain if the Red light issue without a cable or SIM card is normal behavior for the model, X58-4G with latest firmware.
