This question was, first, asked in 2001 on this forum, and looks like TP-Link just ignores multiple users' requests for improvement.

I have multiple geographical locations where I installed Deco meshes. Each location has an independent network not connected to other locations. Each of those networks has the same SSID/password for convenience.

Now when I need to switch and explore networks on my Deco unit, all the network names look the same (since they all have the same SSID), and it's time consuming to distinguish between my home, office or vacation house networks.

Many people pointed to this problem and asked to introduce an ability to renaime networks in DECO App without changing their actual SSIDs. Sort of a label or alias to give the networks descriptive names within the app. This way, instead of seeing all three networks, for example, as Default, Default, Default, I'll see Office, Home, Vacation House.

It doesn't sound like a hard fix to implement, yet nothing, apparently, was done since 2021. Or was it? Then please tell me how to do it.

Thank you.

Mike
