Which modem with a BE550
Hi
wanted to get a powerful system to combat thick walls and garden office needs. Fibre just moved into the street.
bought the BE550 but now realise it's just a router. What is a good modem to use with this WIFI7 router. Or do I continue with the modem router from bt ?

Hi,
Given your description I take it that your fibre installation does not include an "Openreach" modem. Is that correct?
Is there a copper cable connected to the grey "DSL" port of the BT router?

I don't have firsthand experience with BT, but according to what I can see on pictures and videos on the Internet the various BT "Hubs" have a grey port that fits a phone line with RJ11 connector and yellow and red ports for standard RJ45 Ethernet cables. Usually two standard Ethernet cables are included with the Hubs, one with yellow connectors and one with red connectors. In the pictures and videos I've seen the Openreach modem was connected to the BT Hub via Ethernet cable.
I have no idea why yours is different.
Could you maybe post a photo of the cable that does not fit the Archer BE550?
