I have 3 of these that actually show up as E4R? I don't know what that means in comparison to just E4
What is the latest firmware available? i've got the 1.2.0 official but saw that there was a 1.4 or higher on the community

Deco E4" refers to the boxed package (e.g., 2-pack or 3-pack), while "E4R" is the specific model name of the individual unit
I've only seen newer firmware for the V1/V2 model sorry.

OK about the firmware.. I've updated to 1.2.0 and that's it I guess.

Your best bet for firmware is to check thru the deco app or the web Ui using the directions below
1. Go to http://tplinkdeco.net/ and sign in - use the same password you use to log into the deco app
2. Once your logged in click on Advanced
3, Click on System from the menu on the left
4, Now click on Firmware Upgrade
5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Check for upgrades
