Based on the LED explanation, I think the location of your RE200 could be optimized, maybe closer to the main router and in clear sight without walls/doors in between.
It is also suggested to have a look at this link to modify the wireless settings on the main router:Recommended settings on the host router to work well with TP-Link Range Extenders
