select the device you want to change
click the settings icon in the upper right corner
select the arrow next to device icon name

I have renamed my device name in Kasa as stated above by you, but Alexa still thinks it's the old name.

Here's what I want to do. I want to change one of my TP-Link bulbs from "Lamp" to "Office." I have successfully changed the name inside the Kasa app, but if I tell Alexa to turn on or off "Office" she says, "Sorry, I didn't find Office." If I say Alexa turn on Lamp, the bulb goes on. Alexa doesn't recognize the name change. How can this be done?

You also have to change the name of the device in the Alexa app. Go to menu, Smart home, Devices the click on the devices name then “edit”
