Hi,
I am getting an issue to my TP Link Router TL-WR841HP. It is always loosing connection every week, I already update the firmware as advised by your Email Technical Support but it is doing the same. My temporary solution on this kind of issue is by doing a factory reset and re-configure my router.
Any thoughts?

If the wired connection lost every week, you can check whether your modem is working properly.
If your modem is working well, we should focus on the router.
Since you have contacted tp support with email before, it's better to reply them with detailed info.
They may help you with completed advices or further help.

What I did to just fix the issue is to do the factory reset for this router.

The likely problem with this is that the mode of operation of the device changes from access point or router to REPEATER.
This happens in one of my clients all the time because of that damn button that has well on top of the device. The fact is that this button changes the operation mode to REPEAT and you can not go back unless you enter the configuration. It turns out that my client has children in his house and we all know how curious children are by touching everything and pressing buttons.
TP-Link had a bad idea to put that button there. Being that the button only goes in one direction, and does not return in the other, that is, it only goes to repeater mode but does not have an easy function to return if this was done by mistake.
For normal people who do not understand settings and who just want to have an easy-to-operate device in their homes that button on the body of the device was a ball out of the manufacturer and has caused problems.

hi has this been resolve? we are experiencing same issue with TL-WR841HP connection issue. need to reset and reconfigure all the time to allow internet connection again

where can i download the latest firmware?
on tplink website available firmware is lower
3.16.9 build 160428 Rel.56467n
device original firmware:
3.16.9 Build 160612 rel.63618n

I have the same problem with WR841HP v2 firmware 3.16.9 Build 151124 Rel.57926n. Network conectivity is lost and it is recovered by reseting the route (power off - wait a while - power on). Will there be a new firmware to fix this annoyng behavior?

I am experiencing the same problem with my TL-WR841HP v5 (TL-WR841HP(UN)_V5_180402) and is using the latest firmware however i constantly get no throughput on wireless and wired connection. It cannot even ping the default gateway, I have to restart the router every after 8-12 hours. I used my old tplink router to see if it's an issue with my ISP and I never experienced network issue. I restored my TL-WR841HP and set it up again to no avail.

@Kevin_Z I'm seeing that the screen is full of detailed descriptions and everyone has the same problem I'm having with this piece of useless plastic, no need to dig in further. router goes haywire, first it happens once a week and eventually it lasts only 5 minutes before it freezes again
