Firmware downgrade from 1.2.8 to 1.2.4
Hey ya'll,
I am having many issues after latest FW upgrade (1.2.8) that I related in this post
tl;dr: Some of my devices unable to connect to the network: "No internet connection", some of them are required to re-enter password but it won't work.
Rebooting the main deco will solve it for the next few hours, but all of these issues came like a few days ago.
I want to downgrade the firmware version of both my decos to 1.2.4 as I had when I bought it.
TP-Link is offering the FW version to download but I couldn't find instructions on how to manually install older FW..
Hopefully I will find my answer here.
Thanks!

Update:
I've successfully upgraded to the 1.3.0 beta version. I will give it a few days of running to see if the horrible 1.2.8 was fixed.
Lesson learned - NEVER UPGRADE THE DAMN FIRMWARE

I replied a minute ago.
Implemented now all suggestions, also "disable fast roaming"
The other 2 suggestions are:
- Disable Mesh
- Put Network in AP mode.
-> Maybe it is for debug purposes, but in fact that is disabling all features I bought the deco m5 for.
I don't prefer to do that, then i prefer to test a new Beta or other suggestions.

Kevin has sent me the latest beta version of 1.3.0, After running it for about 2-3 days I can confirm that the issues of the connection drop outs and the "incorrect password" crap has been resolved.
I'd recommend moving to 1.3.0 for now as I did not encounter any problems using this firmware version.
To anyone who is doing a firmware installation, here's an important note for you:
When you click the upgrade button, there will be a spinner for about 2-3 minutes before you see ANY indication by the program so don't think it's stuck like I did
To me, version 1.3.0 has resolved the terrible 1.2.8 so I'll leave it here as the answer.
Thanks again to Kevin for his help!!

Hi Kevin
I have a support case open, [TPLINK SUPPORT #254382]: 7609734 Deco M5, but need to downgrade my firmware to the previous version while this is being looked at. I work from home and have no access to my company's VPN as a result of the firmware upgrade. I get an immediate "Connection attempt has timed out. Please verify internet connectivity" message.
Can you advise on the process please?
Thanks
Ian

Hi, I checked the ticket by the ID you provided, and I found that you have figured it out with my colleague.
Do you still have the downgrade issue now?
What is the current firmware and the previous firmware you wanna downgrade to?
Good day.

Hi all,
I got some problems with my newly purchased Deco E4R. It can't transmit dual band channel and it's already upgraded to the latest firmware. However, before the upgrade it can transmit dual band channel but only one of the 2 E4Rs can, but now both cant. Is there anyway I can downgrade the firmware? And I live in Indonesia.
Before: E4R 1.0_en_1.1.0 Build 20190823 Rel. 43466 Global Version
Now: E4R 1.0_en_1.1.0 Build 20190910 Rel. 66772 ID Version
Thank you
