Complete nunce here. My house has pre-wired Ethernet to some rooms, but not my son’s room. In the living room is the house internet (Australian FTTN) and four Ethernet points, which each connect to four seperate points around the house. The wall in my son’s room is the same wall I already have a point on, just the opposite side. Currently I’m not using that point so one option would be to get an electrician to put in on the other side of 토토사이트 the wall for him. In an ideal world I’d like to split the current connection and have two points, one on each side of the wall. Is this possible, from one Ethernet connection coming from the router?

@BintuGomes

Hello, do you have any TP-Link device?

Do you want to install an ethernet port on your son's room so that he can get internet?

There are some network expansion device which may able to satisfy your needs. Like the range extender, powerline adapters.

For range extender, it will connect to the main router by wireless to boost the wifi signal, and it can provide ethernet port at the same time.

For the powerline adapters, usually it is a pair, the main adapter will connect to the main router by wired cable, the ethernet ports on the main adapter varies due to the different model, and then you can relocate the 2nd adapter to extend network, both wireless and wired .

Or you can order an unmanaged switch to provide multiple ethernet ports.

May it help and have a nice day.

A network hub will work if you have bandwidth or use a network switch. See https://eastmanreference.com/the-difference-between-an-ethernet-splitter-a-switch-and-a-hub for more info. If the room without Ethernet can get WIFI, an extender (https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/range-extender/) can be used to get an Ethernet connection over WIFI.
